This year has truly been the most wild and wonderful ride of my life.  As many of you know my beautiful daughter Lucia Louise Cavanna was born Jan. 23, 2014.  At 9lbs 10oz, she came into this world in a big way and has continued to make my life BIGGER in every way.

Motherhood is teaching me the importance of radical acceptance. As I struggle to keep up with the myriad challenges of parenthood, ACCEPTANCE has been key. My husband and I are practicing giving each moment our hearts’ consent (especially the unwelcome ones). We are learning that acceptance is an act of empowerment. It helps us claim allergy responsibility and affirm that the life we are already living is the highest and best path for us.

Acceptance is not about giving up or checking out, it’s about finding peace in the chaos. Acceptance invites you to bring more of your SELF, more of your heart, to the present moment. Because as we know, sometimes only way forward is through…
